For nearly two decades, Texas Health Presbyterian Foundation has hosted a signature fundraising event named after Greer Garson, the late Academy Award-winning actress and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas supporter. While glitz and glam have found a home at the annual Greer Garson Gala, it is the cause that really draws a crowd. Net proceeds from the Gala have benefited two important areas of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas: Parkinson's disease research and programs and women's and infant's services. More than $1 million has been raised for these programs. In 2008, the event netted more than $280,000, the largest amount to date. In 2009, event co-chairs Kara and Austin Adam and Jeannie and Nathan Denton aim to raise at least $250,000 for Parkinson's research and programs and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Texas Health Dallas. The generous spirit of our underwriters, silent and live auction donors, and ticket patrons helps turn dreams into reality for the programs supported by the Greer Garson Gala.
